Haiti Youth Orchestra Music Camp Day 1

Upon arrival at the school, we learned that unfortunately, many of the students in the orchestra were stuck taking exams all morning. So, after weeks of careful curriculatory planning by the CSO teachers, all plans were confused and changed in typical Haiti fashion. So, we were left with a morning of students coming and going as their exam schedules dictated. The new plan was to teach small or individual lessons all morning until noon, when all exams would be finished. And, although this was not the initial plan, it sure worked greatly. All CSO teachers agree that these smaller lessons were enormously beneficial to the Haitian musicians. A foiled plan eventually turned into a great success. We then returned to the rectory to have lunch with all of the musicians.
